Juan Nuñez is ProWorld Director of Player Development & Adult Programs, using his experience in and out of the field to help our players reach their highest potential. He has competed against players such as John McEnore, Guillermo Villas, Gene Mayer, Jose Luis Clerc, and Andres Gomes, and coached some of the top professional players in the world.


  • Christ Evert won the Virginia Slims of Houston in 1988.
  • Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario won her first French Open title in 1989.
  • Gabriela Sabatini won the WTA Championships in 1994 and Sydney in 1995.
  • Brenda Schults-McCarthy achieved her first two singles titles; 1992 Birmingham and 1991 Schenectady.
  • 1992- Natailia Zvereva won three Gland Slam Doubles Title (French Open, Wimbledon, US Open) and reached the singles quarterfinals of the French Open and Wimbledon.
  • Lori McNeil won Birmingham in 1993.
  • Bethanie Mattek in 2006 climbed from 520 to 125 in the WTA ranking, in one year.
  • Lauren Davis, with Juan as a consultant from April- August 2019, climbed in the WTA ranking from 150 to 75 reaching the 3rd round in Wimbledon with a win over the #5 player in the world.
  • Played the ATP Tour from 1979-1981 and reached a world ranking of 165.
